The Coimbatore Kendra started in 1964 by Shri G.K. Sundaram, Chairman, The Lakshmi Mills Company Limited, has been promoting art, culture, literature, moral and ethical values in this industrial city. Shri GKS is presently the patron of the Kendra and a member of the Executive committee of hte central Bhavan, in Mumbai. Shri B.K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar is the Chairman of the Coimbatore Kendra and Under his tutelage the Kendra has blossomed further with increased allround activities and Programmes.

The Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Coimbatore Kendra runs the Bhavan, the Matriculation Higher Secondary School at R.S. Puram, Coimbatore and the Matriculation School at Ajjanur, Coimbatore.

Shri B.K Krishnaraj Vanavarayer is the Chairman of the Coimbatore Kendra and under his tutelage the Kendra has blossomed further with increased all-round activities and programmes.
